Apply for Membership

International Business Students Global (IBSG) is much more than a student association. It is a group of like-minded, hardworking students interested in engaging in business research and management consulting that engages in the global political economy. Consequently, membership to IBSG requires a series of criteria intended to ensure that we consistently encourage those with enthusiastic, qualified investment in our vision and mission.

Please note that the application deadline for the Fall 2015 semester will be November 1st, 2015.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Must be a student currently enrolled at the University of New Mexico, either in a graduate or undergraduate program.
  • Minimum GPA: This standard is intended to reflect University policies regarding honors criteria and will match university-wide policy in the future:
    • 3.2 GPA for undergraduate students
    • 3.5 GPA for graduate students

Application Approval

  • Pending a brief interview with the Board of Directors
  • Pending approval by majority vote by the Board of Directors
In order to apply for IBSG membership, please send us the following:
  • Current Resume or CV
  • Current unofficial transcripts
  • Statement of Purpose no longer than 350 words which explains your interest in IBSG
Application materials should be sent to unmibsg@gmail.com with the subject line: IBSG Membership Application: First Name, Last Name. The IBSG Application Form must also be completed along with the sent in materials.
